How to feed two babies at the same time with only one high chair

1. First start by mopping your floor (check)
2. Place baby # 1 in the high chair( in this case I used my darling niece Addison)
3. Next load her tray with yummy baby friendly foods( I used smart puffs, cheese, and peas)
4. While baby # 1 eats she will, as most babies do, drop plenty of food on said freshly mopped floor.
5. Lastly allow baby #2 (Cutie pie Violet) to hang out near the high chair and eat all of the food baby #1 drops.

This technique is not for germ freaks but works quite well in a pinch. Rest assured Violet had already eaten her baby food and did not have to rely solely on the food Addy dropped for sustenance. Sadly in the crazy business that was lunch time today I did not snap a picture of this one but it was pretty darn cute, I swear Addy was purposely dropping food for her cousin.

He is patient and never complains even when he should
He humors me and genuinely tries to make me happy
His favorite candy is snickers, favorite color is red and favorite child is Daphne oops did I just say that?
He is creative and makes T, M, And D pancakes or sandwiches when I won't
He is my best friend and I honestly don't know what I would do with out him.

This guy is my father in law Lee. Though I have only known Lee for eight short years he has genuinely become a dear friend to me. Lee is amazing for many reasons including (Golden helped a little):
He raised the best son in the world and taught him how to be a good Dad
He has used his mad crafting skills to fulfill my I mean Daphne's dream of having a doll house.

Lee is a fantastic father/in law and Grandpa and we are lucky to have him in our lives. I am extremely grateful for the example he set for my husband and for the friend he has been to me.

These Guys are a wonderful part of my family and each one adds their own distinct influence which supports and strengthens me and my kiddos. I am so lucky to know each one of them. Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful Fathers, Uncles, Grandfathers, and surrogate Fathers who have been a good example to me in my life and influenced me in a positive way.

I get by with a little help from my friends

Lately I have been so busy getting one house unpacked and another rented out , doing homework, trying to do fun things with the kids for the summer, on top of all the usual things I do. Even though things around here have been incredibly busy I am not feeling as overwhelmed as I should. Maybe it's the fact that I have had sooooooo much help lately. Others kindness and service towards our family have reminded me that I don't have to do it all alone. I am so grateful for friends and family who just show up to help no ?'s asked, babysit, even over night, do laundry, feed us dinner, paint, pack, and move all of our millions of toys. How could I not be so grateful! It might be just me but I usually have a hard time accepting service cause I am independant like that and I hate to inconvienience any one else, but having four kids kinda makes doing it all your self impossible. I have to accept help or go crazy those are the two options. Anyway Thanks to all you lovelies who have helped me at any time with anything I LOVE you all and couldn't do it without you!!!!!

Smooch the Final chapter

.....................So that night we had lots of fun playing games and watching Shanghai noon with Jackie Chan whom we both love, we got to know each others ironic sense of humor through a sarcastic round of apples to apples. When the guys left that night I was thoroughly convinced that Golden was not interested and they would probably not call us again. To my surprise the next afternoon which was a Wednesday  around 3:30 my phone rings and it's Golden asking if I want to go to dinner and hang out. I was honestly confused for two reasons one Golden is a high context communicator meaning you have to pay close attention to be sure of what he is really saying and two he really gave me no indication that he liked me. I thought maybe he was calling because we were the only two who exchanged numbers and his friend and mine hit it off the night before so I asked if Clint was coming and he was like no Clint's at work so I said okayyyy I'll call Liz and see if she wants to go. He must of thought that I really didn't want to go out with him cause he was totally asking me on a date and for some reason i was just not getting the message. Liz didn't want to come and tried to convince me he was asking me out but it wasn't until he insisted on driving to Mesa from Chandler to pick me up and then drive back to chandler to go to Pei Wei, then opened my door, and insisted on paying that I was finally convinced that we were on a date. Sometimes I can be such as blond. We had a really good time talking and laughing, we found out that we both were true Weezer fans and Pinkerton is our favorite album. I knew I really liked him though when we got on the subject of womanly issues. I died laughing at his funny stories and at the end of the night I opened a fortune cookie which read you or a close friend will be married by the end of the year. I have never since had one that said that, and Golden works at PF Changs! Well after a few weeks of dating I was surprised to find that I loved him. So I kiddingly asked him what his intentions were and he said well if things keep going like they are then I'll probably have to make you Sister Eyestone. We teased about how in our families if you call someone jerkface then it means I love you .That night we both called the other Jerkface and a few years ago I even engraved it into Golden's wedding band in honor of this story.  On Valentines day 1 month from when we met Golden proposed at a cutely decorated gazebo over a candlelight dinner with rose petals and music. First he gave me a pretty necklace and offered to do the clasp for me, ever the smooth operator he asked me to turn and show him and when I did he was on one knee with the box open in his hand and he told me that he would be the happiest boy in the world if I would be his wife. I said yes and we were married 3 months later.

I love this story and you would be shocked to know that i could write about two more pages but i won't. Lucky you. Marrying golden was truly and sincerely the best choice I have ever made. I know you all think your husbands are pretty great but they could not possibly be as great as mine! Eight years may not seem like much but  Gold and I both agree that in this day and age still being happy in your marriage after eight years is a pretty big accomplishment.  I have loved writing this story, it has made me grin from ear to ear and I look forward to telling it to our grandchildren someday in the very distant future.

G + S = Smoooooch! Part II

I KNOW it has been weeks since I last posted and our anniversary has come and gone. It was nice in case you were wondering. we took a break from moving/unpacking/fixing up our old place/trying to rent it out, and stayed overnight at the Hilton in Scottsdale for only $55 I might add. We had a nice dinner at a darling little authentic Italian restaurant where we tried prosciutto and melon yum and then spent the rest of the evening enjoying our childlessness while watching cable and stuff. I do feel guilty for leaving all 5 of you hanging so here is the rest of the story.
Hmmmm where oh where did we leave off? Oh yeah I was just about to tell you our official how'd ya meet story that we ell everyone and that still makes me smile.
Kemra and Dean's wedding Val Vista Lakes:
Neither Golden nor I were officially invited to their wedding but our best friends were so Golden was there as Clint's guest and I was there with one of my BFF's Liz Nielsen (sorry I still can't get used to calling you Elizabeth). Also in attendance was my other BFF Sarah who hot stuff that she is had a date. I looked especially hot that night cause Liz and I were on the prowl j/k. Sarah had just cut and dyed my hair, no she's not a hair dresser but she was mine. I was also wearing a perfectly styled ensemble chosen for me by Liz out of her amazing closet which I always coveted. So we got there and were waiting in the line looking out and who should we see but Golden and Clint looking right at us. We motioned for them to join us and the jerks responded by gesturing that they were getting food. Liz and I were like, oh no they didn't and immediately decided to shun them if we ran into them again. We didn't meet any other cute guys so we decided to leave. As we were walking past the gift table Liz was like oh crap I forgot to bring the gift. I was driving so I said I would take her to pick it up and go back as long as she just ran in and dropped it on the table. She agreed and in a few minutes we were parked in front of Val Vista Lakes gift in hand. Liz annoyingly begged me to come in with her cause she was thirsty and wanted to grab a drink while we were there, at the time I was so mad cause I just wanted to get out of my heels and into my jammies but I agreed and boy am I glad I did. We  dropped off the gift and made a B line to the punch table and who do you think we ran into? The two nerds who dissed us earlier. I pretended not to see them so they didn't think we walked over just for them. Luckily, they approached us. Golden likes to say that I was forward cause I quickly asked if they wanted to hang out but I was more just not willing to spend any more time in heels talking to them if it wasn't going anywhere. So we all walked out and agreed to meet at Sarah's house and Golden got my phone number in case they "got lost".Fun Fact: he entered my # in as Hot Stuff and that is still my ID to this day. As we were walking out Liz asked Golden what his last name was and he was like Eyestone. Liz thought it was cool but as soon as we got in the car I was like oh my gosh that is the worst last name ever, can you imagine if that was my last name? I'd be Shaunell Eyestone, good thing I'm not marrying that guy! heeeheee jokes on me.
Stay tuned for the last and final installment of G+S if you are not so sick and tired of it already.
